Trained by Yamuna Zake and Bliss Yoga Center, Vicki has a keen sense of body awareness, appreciating the mind- body connection. She became certified in all Yamuna Body Rolling modalities (YBR), Foot Fitness, Face Saver ,YBR Hands on therapy, and Body Logic to help students free their bodies of pain due to misalignment. Vicki’s yoga training was drawn from Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara and Iyengar. She is a full time practitioner at the Yamuna flagship studio in NYC where she teaches private and group classes . Vicki can also be seen on the latest Yamuna Save Your Series DVD’s such as Save your Upper, Middle and Lower Back as well as the soon to be released Yamuna Yoga: The Fundamentals of Standing Poses.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Yamuna Body Rolling works the way a hands-on practitioner works -only using a body ball. Imagine your body sinking into the ball, lying over it, as it moves on muscles to stretch them, dislodge tension and discomfort, increase blood flow, and promote self-healing. Literally like rolling out dough, starting where the muscle begins and moving on the ball to where it ends, you become empowered to create maximum length and space in the body!

 

YAMUNA BODY ROLLING TABLE TREATMENT
Initially created for her exclusive relationship with the famous luxury resort and spa, Canyon Ranch. The one hour YBR table treatment is a uniquely body altering treatment performing the work on the table, using air space for additional exploration of range of motion, and use of the body ball as a fulcrum within the body’s joints. This allows me to go very deep WITHOUT PAIN, using the hands as traction on one side and the ball on the other, giving you, the client a treatment on both sides of the body simultaneously. The key joints in the body, the hips, the knees, the ankles, the shoulders increase in range of motion with this treatment, while also being relaxing and nurturing . Your body continues to unwind for days after!

 

YAMUNA FACE SAVER
Yamuna Face Saver offers a proactive solution to the effects of repetitive stress and sustained tension by stimulating and aligning bone, activating muscle, increasing circulation and tone and reversing the effects of gravity.
We are told that the sun and other environmental factors are the primary causes of skin damage. I believe that just like every other part of our bodies, the face is subject to tremendous repetitive stress from very early on. We begin to frown, squint our eyes, clench our jaws, grind our teeth, tighten our lips and on and on. Each of us has tension patterns that we are no longer aware of that we do constantly, everyday all day. These patterns cause early bone loss, form wrinkles, cause sinus and tension headaches and TMJ. Learning how to work on your own face with specially designed balls will give you a way to prevent aging and when you feel the difference in your face when it is relaxed versus your normal, you will want to incorporate this work into your self care program.
